The meaning behind the mark

A key to possibility.

Inkhorne’s key holds a personal story. The M remembers Matthew. The two 7s connect his birthday with Sarah’s personal connection to Matthew 7:7.

For Inkhorne, the key expresses the possibility of entering another life and discovering something beyond our own experience.

That spirit shapes our work: warm, curious, imaginative and assured. Stories with room for humour and wonder, and respect for the reader’s intelligence.

Beyond the page

Some stories
ask to be heard.
Some, to be seen.

Books are our starting point. Our ambitions also include music, audiobooks and stories for the screen.

As these projects develop, this will be their home too.

Badger on Board · Meet Rumble

People occasionally
mistake this for being good.

Rumble is a young honey badger with a busy nose and very firm opinions.

An unfamiliar smell can stop him halfway through whatever he is doing. A rustle inside a bag can change his plans entirely. He likes to find out how things work, what is underneath them and, whenever possible, whether they can be eaten.

He is clever with his paws. If something will not move, he tries pulling it from somewhere else. If he cannot reach, he looks for something to climb. Sometimes he sits very still, working things out. People occasionally mistake this for being good.
